SAM has come to an agreement with Amsterdam Airlines concerning On-Call Maintenance at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, commencing on the 1st December 2009.

SAM Norway has today 2nd of December 2009 launched its new official website with new web address: www.sam.aero, this means that all e-mail addresses for SAM personnel have also changed to firstname.surname@sam.aero. Any e-mails sent to our old e-mail addresses will still reach us, so don’t worry we will reply to any queries.

Approval Update!

SAM/Aviation Engineering receives DOA approval for all aircraft types on their approval commencing November 2009.

Training Update

SAM in cooperation with Advanced Aircraft Training Ltd (EASA Part-147 Approval Nr. UK.147.0072) will perform B747-400 B1 type training at OSL, starting 30th of November.

This is in line with SAM’s ongoing commitment to the Thai government and our MRO Centre of Excellence project in Thailand.




Joint Ventures!


On the 29th of October 2009 SAMTHAI signed a MoU with Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) to set-up an MRO Centre of Excellence in the Bangkok area.

On the 26th of October 2009 SAMTHAI signed a cooperation agreement with AAG of Canada to facilitate and supply the Thai DAE with aircraft & helicopters spare parts for the Thai Royal Flight, Thai Air Force and Thai Police.



Business Development!


SAM expands their commercial aircraft line maintenance services at Oslo Gardermoen to include A320/A330/A340 & B737C/B737NG Series aircraft, commencing 25th October 2009.



Joint Ventures!


On the 21st of October 2009 SAMTHAI signed an agreement with Geven to facilitate and install new cabin seats onboard Thai International Airways aircraft in Thailand.



New Customer!

SAM Norway has come to an agreement with Pakistan Int’l Airlines & Swiss Int’l Airlines concerning Line Maintenance support for PIA’s B777 at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, commencing on the 17th October 2009.

Senior Station Engineer Mr. Petter Aune was on hand to help out at PIA, it was action from the word go!

Petter & Swiss Flight Engineer Mr. Kres Thykjaer were called upon to deactivate the Main Landing Gear steering on the very first turnaround.




Approval Update!


SAM receives new Part-145 approval schedule including Airbus A330-2/300 (RR Trent/PW4000), A340-2/3/5/600 (CFM56/RR Trent) & B737-3/4/500 (CFM56) commencing 6th October 2009.



New Appointment!


SAM has appointed Stewart Ewing as Director Line Maintenance & Sales, commencing on the 15th September 2009.



Training Update!


On the 8th of September, 3 SAM line engineers successfully completed Airbus A340-5/600 B1 type training at Lufthansa Technical Training Centre in Frankfurt, Germany.
