Line Maintenance

The official definition of Line Maintenance can be found on the EASA website! under AMC 145.A.10 Scope: Line Maintenance should be understood as any maintenance that is carried out before flight to ensure that the aircraft is fit for the intended flight.

Line Maintenance may include:
  • Component replacement with use of external test equipment if required. Component replacement may include components such as engines and propellers.
  • Defect rectification.
  • It may also include internal structure, systems and power plant items which are visible through quick opening access panels/doors.
  • Minor repairs and modifications which do not require extensive disassembly and can be accomplished by simple means.
  • Scheduled maintenance and/or checks including visual inspections that will detect obvious unsatisfactory conditions/discrepancies but do not require extensive in depth inspection.
  • Trouble shooting.

You simply can’t fly without serious and correct Line Maintenance. It’s like brushing your teeth without tooth paste.

Our service generally consists of pre-flight, daily, weekly, A-Checks etc. It may also contain specifically requested inspections of aircraft, on-wing engine and APU maintenance and rectification of logbook remarks and findings. When required, even minor repairs and modifications can be implemented by simple means.

As our customer, you’ll have our constant attention, 24 hours a day. Our experienced staff utilize advanced systems that keep them up to date. Should you require an inspection or component replacement or your aircraft develops an unforeseen problem, we endeavour to ensure that the required staff, expertise and components are ready and waiting when your aircraft taxis on to the stand.

Furthermore, as our customer you will get a fully functional Line Maintenance facility from day one. The “Stream-Line” Task Force is a team of highly experienced engineers who are capable of setting up a Part-145 approved line maintenance operations anywhere in the world. While tending to your day-to-day requirements, the “Stream-Line” Task Force will build up the necessary organization for long term solutions.

If support is required outside the realms of Line Maintenance, SAM’s strong network of partners ensures that a solid base of competence and resources are always close at hand.

Our approval

SAM Line Maintenance operates under an EASA Part-145 approval issued by the Norwegian CAA, Approval Number: NO.145.0131. Our engineers are all trained at world renouned EASA Part-147 approved training facilities and all engineers are in posession of EASA Part-66 unrestricted B1/B2 licences.
